Each year the Met Gala makes the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York the most magical fashion show in the world. The stars dress up in the most beautiful clothing, their hair in the most dramatic do, and then they have the most stunning jewellery you’ve ever seen. The 2026 Met Gala was no exception. This year was extra special, actually, because the theme was \u201cCostume Art\u201d\u2014whereby the fashion is considered to be real art. Each garment demanded the right kind of jewellery to give it the finishing touch, and each outfit demanded the right kind of jewellery to complete it.<\/span><\/p>\n


\n<\/span> At Dishis Designer Jewellery we were closely watching all of the looks this year. Why? This year’s Met Gala was no exception; jewellery was a main attraction, not an afterthought. Shoes that were as large as a shoe box and emeralds that shimmered in the lights were just a few of the jewellery exhibits lining the red carpet. Let’s stroll through the most jaw dropping jewellery moments at Met Gala 2026!<\/span>

1. Pearls Take Over the Red Carpet<\/b>

If you’ve been thinking that maybe pearls were a thing of the past, then the Met Gala 2026 has just proved you wrong. Glowing with confidence, Emily Blunt arrived in one of the most discussed outfits of the night \u2013 a jaw-dropping Mikimoto pearl body necklace. This was no ordinary pearl necklace, however. Think soft, round pearls, hanging beautifully in patterns across her arms and chest. She adorned herself with numerous pearl bracelets around her wrists as well.<\/span>
\n<\/span> This outfit was kind of a Queen in a fairy tale and a powerful soldier \u2014 simultaneously. Her dress was royal, old-style and the pearls gave it a soft, dreamy and expensive look. This Mikimoto necklace is actually valued at approximately half a million dollars! This is definitely one big jewellery trend from the night and we loved to see the pearls sparkle that brightly.<\/span>
